A solid and powerful drama that’ll leave you thinking after you’ve left the theatre. How memorable it’ll be in years to come is open to question, but for now it’s a film to be savoured.
Exquisitely performed, well-crafted period piece about an original, daring woman which somehow fails to be either original or daring.
Not so much a political satire as a political parable, ‘Mooseport’ is a nice place to visit, but you wouldn’t want to live there. In other words – rent it, don’t buy it.
After a hundred minutes of this, you’ll know exactly why their hubbies couldn’t stand to be with them any longer.
Lavish cinematography, interesting characters and a great big adventure will leave you with a feeling of seeing something special.
