Reviews Featuring Robert Downey Jr.
A return to the comedic glory days of Messrs Martin and Murphy – or pretty close, at least.
A brave attempt at bringing a landmark TV series to the big screen – but it doesn’t work.
Despite some issues, Tropic Thunder has moments of hilarity and some truly classic lines and performances.
Guy Ritchie does a decent job at reinventing Sherlock Holmes as a modern action hero with the help of excellent performances from Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
A fun but pretty pointless sequel that retraces a lot of old ground and wastes a talented supporting cast in favour of an all-out blanket coverage on Robert Downey Jr.'s superhero.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
More of the same from Robert Downey Jr. and company as Ritchie takes the spirit of Sherlock Holmes and gives it a modern twist. A fun watch but sometimes the special effects need to be toned down a little.
A far better superhero mash-up than it's constituent parts would suggest, Joss Whedon's The Avengers has surprisingly well-executed plot and action and comes across as entertaining and pretty funny.
