Reviews Featuring Vince Vaughn
Unoriginal and not particularly well made, but with enough genuinely funny moments to score pass marks – which, in all fairness, is really all it sets out to achieve.
A handful of very funny sketches, unfortunately linked together by precious little. Worth renting if you’re in the mood for a laugh or three, but not the sort of comedy to be watched over and over again.
A film carefully calculated to please an English audience, with its combination of patriotism, sport, cheek and absurdity. Not just a good laugh, but also a snapshot of our times.
Visually it’s one of the most inventive pieces of cinema you’re likely to see, but in every other department it’s essentially run-of-the-mill.
A worthy homage to the TV series, this is easily the most fun movie of 2004 so far.
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
In this goofball sportsfilm spoof there is something for everyone to laugh at - but a few too many cringeworthy own-goals.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
Definitely weird and very nearly wonderful – and you’ll never look at your local newsreader in the same way again.
More wise guys, more sharp lines, but less biting satire in this inferior 'Get Shorty' sequel.
Married life isn’t quite the Pitts in this jumbled-but-fun hubby and wife duel.
This wonderful buddy-com has a great heart and an even better funny bone. Easily the best comedy of 2005 so far.
Made a better film by a great cast, Four Christmases isn't anything new, but it's funny and it's got at least one character that everyone can cringe in recognition at having in their extended family tree.
Lavish cinematography, interesting characters and a great big adventure will leave you with a feeling of seeing something special.
